Returns & Warranty

If a part you purchased from GIESEMANN fails in use, please contact us immediately or for required spare parts. The failed item may be returned to our following address within 12 months from the date of purchase. All returns must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice, please note no warranty claims will be accepted without a copy of the original invoice.

Returns:

If you change your mind about your order, all uninstalled or unused goods in their original presale condition and packaging may be returned to GIESEMANN within 14 days of purchase for a refund. A copy of the original invoice or the picking label (which is generally attached to the original packaging) must accompany the return.

Return postage and packaging costs must be paid by the customer. Unless the return is due to our error, in which case you will be refunded for the return delivery cost, standard or least expensive method of delivery only. If you choose an alternative method of delivery you will be liable for any extra cost. A Warranty Policies form can be downloaded in a printable version, complete this form, pack the items securely and ship it to our below mentioned adress.

Parts returned outside of this policy, or in a non-resalable condition with evidence of use beyond the handling, necessary to see whether the goods are as expected resulting in a loss of value, may not be accepted or may be subject to a 30% handling fee, which will be deducted from your refund.

Refunds are made via the original payment method. Exceptions include bank transfers where a handling charge will apply before release of credit.

 

Warranty:

All light systems and aquariums ordered from GIESEMANN Lichttechnik GmbH are fully warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase. Warranty settlements will not exceed the cost of the original component.

EXCEPTION: WE DO NOT OFFER A WARRANTY ON T-5, METAL-HALIDE OR ANY OTHER LIGHT BULBS, WATER TREATMENTS, TEST KITS AND ROWA ITEMS. FURTHERMORE WE DO NOT OFFER A WARRANTY ON SPARE PARTS THAT ARE FITTED TO LIGHT UNITS BY A NOT AUTHORIZED ELECTRICIAN. FOR THESE PURPOSES, THE BUYER ASSUMES ALL RESPONSIBLITY THAT THE COMPONENTS ARE FIT FOR USE.

The Warranty does not cover:

  1. Labour charges
  2. Shipping charges
  3. Failure of or caused by related component(s)
  4. Failure resulting from incorrect installation or misuse.
